...began spinning a set of cards out of a found treasure of several thousand glass negatives from the camera of photographer Charles Conlon, black-and-white photos which embrace the years 1905 to 1942, and here's '94 Conlon #879, with Ray Schalk looking all woolly and friendly and very much like someone I'd like to sit down and talk to. He's already spent nine years forgetting 1919 and the tragedy of the Chicago Black Sox, caught here by Conlon who spent his whole life opening up faces like this for us.
